We started planning Grizzlies Night Out in the summer of 2019 with the intent to bring the Grand Ridge Elementary community together to celebrate and raise money for our school. In light of current events related to COVID-19 and recommendations from local government and King County Public Health on limiting large group gatherings, the PTSA board has decided that the best course of action is to cancel our event scheduled for Friday, April 3 at Pickering Barn.

Given how quickly the situation is changing, we are going to wait before we either set a new date for the event or change to an online fundraiser. We know the Grand Ridge community will still come together at the right time to support our school - and more importantly right now - our community.
We are grateful for the many generous community sponsors and donors that had already stepped up to make our fundraiser possible.  And a huge thank you to the volunteers on the event committee that have worked incredibly hard for many months to get ready for Grizzlies Night Out.

If you have any questions in the meantime, please reach out to us.

In order to provide the annual programs, events, field trips, teacher stipends and one-time purchases (like laptop carts and playground enhancements) we hold a fall fundraiser called Orange Ruler every year and a spring fundraising event every other year.

Funds raised through the PTSA help provide educational enrichment and community building that are not supported by state or local funding. For more information on school funding and how PTSA funds are used, click here. Carrie Mount recently wrote an article for the Issaquah Highlands Connections Newspaper that also touches on school funding.

While in the past the spring fundraiser was a formal affair, we listened to parent feedback and have created a more inclusive, casual, and local event this year. We hope you will join us!
